Anna Himmelmann
Counselling Student (Under Supervision)

Starting therapy can feel weird — like you’re not sure what to say, or whether you’re “doing it right.” I have no hidden rules, nor pressure — just honest conversations, curiosity, practical support, and a space where you can be yourself.
I welcome all of you, including the messy or conflicted parts.

Hi, I’m Anna.

I’m a counselling student practicing under supervision.
I offer a grounded and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings — even the conflicting or ambivalent ones — in a way that actually feels safe and real.

How I Work

I take a person-centred, mindful approach, walking alongside you with curiosity and care. You’re the expert on your life; I’m here to notice, reflect, and support you in finding clarity and balance.

In our sessions, we might explore:

  • The different feelings or “parts” of you that show up in challenging moments — including those that might feel conflicted or ambivalent
  • Patterns in relationships or life transitions
  • Stress, overwhelm, or inner conflict -
  • Ways to feel more grounded, connected, and like yourself

I pull from several counselling approaches to meet you where you are — no cookie-cutter solutions, just what actually works for you.

My Approach

I draw from:

  • Person-centred counselling — creating a safe space where you are heard and respected
  • CBT-informed tools — noticing how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours interact
  • Trauma-aware practice — moving at a pace that feels safe
  • Parts-informed work — exploring the different aspects of yourself with curiosity and compassion

I use these approaches flexibly — whatever is most helpful for you in the moment.

Areas Of Experience

I have experience helping people navigate:

  • Immigration and cultural transitions
  • Family relationships and dynamics
  • Friendships and social connection
  • Romantic relationships and partnership challenges
  • Experiences of hurt, conflict, or betrayal
  • Career questions or changes
  • Major life transitions and identity shifts
  • Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain

We focus on whatever matters most to you, at your own pace.
